October 2026 : At the heart of the orchestra 🇬🇧
Technological progress continues to push the boundaries of reproduced llive music. This month TAIKO AUDIO and REIKI AUDIO are introducing new products that bring genuine progress, particularly TAIKO's XDMS Gamma software. I have rediscovered this unique emotion as when I was at the heart of the orchestra a few days ago, that feeling of immersion.
TAIKO AUDIO (Netherlands). The installation of XDMS Gamma software has surpassed the Roon-controlled version in a remarkable way (see the Monthly Test Bench).
TAIKO also announced a new DAC, Vérité Compact first, Vérité Reference in few months. It remains to be heard how this ambitious device compares to our reference models. The fundamental design appears innovative.
REIKI AUDIO (England) continues its quest to master all the parameters that contribute to the most perfect possible transmission of the digital signal. The new KINU range (silver conductors and silk layer for dampening) both on Ethernet cables, DC PSU cable and Ground cables, provides a very notable gain in precision as well as greater fluidity. This technique is derived from the high‑end JundoStream Reference model. I installed KinuDC PRO and KinuGround on our SuperSwitch X PRO and the result is stunning, really a great gap (Review to come).

TAIKO AUDIO Vérité Compact : a new ambitious DAC
Information from TAIKO AUDIO :
"In a conventional DAC, the analog conversion and output often share power, ground and reference paths. The digital activity of the DAC itself can therefore disturb the analog section.
Truth transcends conversion in terms of separation. We process the activity of the source, the interface and digital‑to‑analog conversion within a single digital space. Then we transfer the desired signal to a dedicated analog environment completely isolated from the digital world. Its own linear power supplies, grounding, references and output circuit provide the analog section with a cleaner electrical starting point.
To our ears, the result is music that seems more natural, effortless and lively."

REIKI AUDIO Kinu : a range of remarkable products
KinuStream ethernet cable is positioned between flagship JundoStream model and RakuStream. KinuStream uses silver conductors and a silk sheath that dampens micro-vibrations which can affect the transfer of the digital signal.
Kinu DC Pro is the improved version of RakuDC using 5N silver conductors and silk casing. A must-have on the SuperSwitch X or SuperSwitch PRO.
