June 2025 - Big bang after Munich 🇬🇧

Munich audio show 2025, An instructive edition


We went to the Munich show and the report is here (in French).

There have been many reports, but from our side in summary: too many "audio" demonstrations not particularly fabulous and immersive apart 4 or 5 rooms. Audio magazines or bloggers reports are quite polite in USA, UK, NL, FRANCE etc.. certainly to respect the designers work and a little velvet business side also😉. Robert Harley's report from TAS seemed one of the most interesting to me.


At PHP AUDIO, the only goal is the ultimate, natural sound. The show has strengthened us in our choices with in particular 2 literally disruptives products. We have been waiting the PRANAWIRE AC master ground for months, they bring us a sound evolution impossible to obtain by other means and they are without competitor.

Joe Cohen launched his new range of artificial earths in 2023 (Master Ground System) and all the customers who tested them were blown away and acquired the devices. At the end of 2023, Joe announced that he was working on the Ground Master AC which deals with earth pollution that communicates between each appliances (I will write a detailed article on the subject in July). For Joe and I, it was the missing treatment ruling out the possibility of finding an "absolute" sound naturalness, like live unamplified music. Ground Master AC level III was delivered first at Audio Exotics in Hong Kong, then it finally arrived at PHP AUDIO in June with huge expectations. The contribution of this device is such that it is for me one of the 5 devices of the decade with ALSYVOX, APURNA™, TAIKO and PRANAWIRE cables since 2022. The Ground Master AC makes it possible to realized the absolute potential of your audio system. Test report in July.


Joe Cohen designer and CEO of PRANAWIRE wrote :

  1. Solidity: a new level of solidity that has to do with resolving the deepest timbres of an instrument or voice, kind of like penetrating to the marrow of the bones of the tone.

  2. Air: Resolves air around sounds that are less prominent and deeper in the mix adding to their integrity.

  4. Width: You’ve got to be kidding me!

  6. Subtly: fine elements of sounds that went by without notice previously are now present, the arc of a note, a change in color, a greater clue of the space it is in.

OMICRON

This Italian brand of supports, decouplers, boosters... is not a new comer, but the latest products recently introduced are dazzling. The first product that moved me was O2 feet for ALSYVOX planars. At Munich audio show, TESLA, FARADAY, POWER BOOST, Stabiliser and others X3, X4, X6 to name a few, were key components of the sound in many very high-end theatres on the sidelines of the ALSYVOX rooms.

PHP AUDIO SYSTEMS

Convergence ultimate audio rack is improved with new mechanical decoupling systems, without price increase.


Sword tablets are a hit with customers who want neutral and very dynamic sound. No DIY in wood or synthetic materials to rob music subtleties. Sword is available in anodized or painted versions.


On a request from some of our customers, I am working on the design of a reference audio rack inspired from Convergence, modular, and much more accessible. Target mid spring 2026.


PS AUDIO

PS AUDIO P20 enchants us, the clean key is the only "demagnetizer" that finally brings an undeniable sound improvement in only 5 seconds, after testing many CDs or files that brought a little more transparency but at the cost of high treble lift, less body and added aggressiveness. PS AUDIO AC regenerators are truly essential to obtain an ultra pure AC, without distortion, without harmonics, without DC offset, constant and without dynamic limit.
